What You Need To Know About Jade Osiberu's Upcoming Crime Thriller, "Everything Scatter"

Production on "Everything Scatter," a movie by Nigerian writer-director Jade Osiberu that explores the pervasive problem of police abuse and makes reference to the widespread protests that took place in Nigeria in October 2020, has come to an end. 

Brotherhood, The Trade, and Gangs of Lagos, among other popular crime thrillers, are credited to Jade Osiberu. 

"Everything Scatter", according to Akoroko Africa, is the tale of five young people from Lagos, Nigeria, whose lives are impacted by the demonstrations against the harsh Special Anti-Theft Squad (SATS).

Zainub, Abibat's sister, dies after being raped and slain by SATS members. Both Odogwu and Paul, whose brother Dike was detained by SATS, deal with the situation in different ways. Odogwu works as a blood courier, while Paul participates in the demonstrations. Caroline, a pregnant attorney, battles for justice for Abibat's family as her husband, a former activist and government consultant, tries to diffuse the issue. On this day, as violence breaks out between the police and the demonstrators, their paths intersect. 

Deyemi Okanlawon, Nkem Owoh, Iretiola Doyle, Jemima Osunde, and Kemi Lala Akindoju are reportedly among the cast members. 

The movie has no official release date as of yet, but early indications indicate that it will probably launch sometime in 2024, possibly after a premiere at an international film festival.
