The collation and announcement of result of National Assembly and presidential election in Kwara State has been done with the All progressives Congress (APC) winning all the seats.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega has said only two states have finished collating their results.

Even though the election is yet to start or be concluded in some parts of the country, vote counting has began in Awka South and the 27 Local Government Areas in Imo State.

At the early hours on Saturday, March 28, voters in all parts of the country trooped out to get accredited. The process has gone well in several places,in some others it has encountered some challenges,especially with the use of card readers. Consequently, accreditation has been slow in many places and has not commenced at all in some others.

The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega says we are confident that no body can use another person's card to vote. Professor Attahiru Jega in an interview on Channels Television Sunrise Daily assured Nigerians that the forthcoming election would be credible,free and fair. He said that if some people manipulates accreditation statistics to favour a candidate and it became evidence that there is manipulation, we can use the card reader to audit the accreditation in that unit and to establish whether or not an irregularity has occurred. Jega also noted that collection of the voter card by proxy is prohibited because the body is aware that politicians would attempt to collect for people which could lead to election rigging. Tunisia's President has vowed to fight terrorism "without mercy", following a gun attack on the Bardo Museum in the capital Tunis that killed 19 people. Seventeen tourists were killed in the attack, including visitors from Japan, Italy, Colombia, Australia, France, Poland and Spain, officials said. Two Tunisians, one a police officer, were also killed in Wednesday's attack. Security forces had killed two gunmen but are continuing the search for accomplices. Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (Rtd) should seek forgiveness (not votes) from Yoruba people of the South-West, including Edo and Delta States. On Wednesday, Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma sacked Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana for seeking asylum in a foreign embassy. Sam-Sumana had requested asylum at the United States embassy in Freetown after soldiers surrounded his residence on Saturday following his expulsion from the ruling party last week. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has announced the immediate review of electricity tariffs by about 50 per cent. The Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Sam Amadi, said the reduction, which takes effect from the end of March, follows the regulatory agency’s decision to remove collection losses from customer tariff under the multi-year tariff order. “It is clear that removing the collection losses would lead to lower tariffs for consumers. The removal of collection losses from customer tariff has reduced tariff by more than 50 per cent in some places. Please note that the reduction does not affect the CBN facility and its repayment. “Industrial and commercial consumers under the auspices of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) petitioned the commission, asking for a review of the MYTO 2.1 and requested drastic reduction of their tariff. They claimed that such astronomical increase in tariff would kill their business and lead to massive job losses.”,

The INEC chairman spoke at town hall meeting in Abuja on Monday. Professor Jega fielded questions on security for the elections, preparation for the elections and the card reader. With less than two weeks to the 2015 general elections, there are still concerns about the preparation of INEC for the general elections.
