Senate Confirms 45 Nominees For Ministerial Screening, Including Keyamo, Oyetola, And Bosun Tijani


Forty-five of the 48 nominees for ministers by President Bola Tinubu were approved today following the completion of the ministerial screening. 

Oyetola, Simon Lalong, Abubakar Kyari, and Festus Keyamo, the former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, are among the confirmed nominees, according to NTA. 

This confirmation comes after the red chamber received a 28-member list for verification on July 27. Last week, the first round of screening was completed. 

Tinubu then sent the Senate a second list of 19 candidates last Wednesday. The President replaced Festus Keyamo and Mariya Mahmoud with Maryam Shetty during this process after withdrawing her nomination from Kano State. 

Mahmoud and Keyamo were confirmed after the screening process was completed today. The list of ministers that were confirmed today is as follows:
