Colleagues, Fans Cheer Kemi Afolabi As She Undergoes Lupus Treatment
Colleagues and fans of actress, Kemi Afolabi, have continued to support her as she announced that she had begun treatment for her ailment, lupus.
Lupus is a disease that occurs when one’s body’s immune system attacks one’s own tissues and organs.
Recall that some months ago, she revealed in an interview that went viral that doctors had told her she had just five years more to live. And as of that time, one year had elapsed.
Since she made the statement, the actress has been enjoying a groundswell of support from people across all walks of life.
During the week, she shared a video of herself receiving treatment, and added the caption, "I commenced my lupus treatment journey today, June 30, 2022, in Maryland, United States of America. Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all. Wish me luck. Warrior."
Reacting to her post, actor, Mustapha Sholagbade, wrote, “Alhamdulillah, May Allah perfect the rest🙏🏿.”
Actress, Yewande Adekoya, wrote, “Our prayers are with you 🙏🙏❤️.”
A follower, lanre.ojimi wrote, "Thank you for the strength to speak up when you did. Not everyone can do such. This is God telling you, that you are not done yet with your assignment on earth. Come back stronger and better. God bless you."

Some weeks back, Afolabi had appreciated her colleagues for supporting her.
She said, "I am wowed by you all doing extra. You did not only come all the way to my home, cash provisions and gifts were in excess. I say a heartfelt ‘thank you for the good wishes from family, friends, colleagues and fans.
"The love has been massive since the change in my health status. Everyone tried to reach out to me by every means possible. Some even shared their own health journeys to motivate me."
