Ogbaru Council Chairman Applauds Nwaebili On Humanitarian Gesture

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on Liaison-Abuja, Hon. Barr. Nonso Henry Nwaebili, was yesterday commended for bringing health to the people through his foundation's (NNF), medical outreach. 


Speaking during the medical outreach which took place at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Iyiowa Odekpe, during which many people with varying medical needs were attended to, the Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu, commended the spirit of philanthropy as demonstrated by Barr. Nwaebili in providing handwashing facilities as well as seeing to the health needs of the people.

"Today we are gathered to partake in the kindness of one of us, Barr. Nonso Nwaebili, who has chosen to impact on society positively. The emergence of Nonso Nwaebili Foundation (NNF) couldn't have come at a better time than now that humanity sits on the edge of a precipice over Covid-19.

"This humane-touch has proven that as individuals, we can add value to society and assist the government in meeting the needs of the people."

Hon. Awogu said the Council Chairman applauded the foundation of "physical" philanthropy laid by the wife of the governor, Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, through which many are moved to see the forgotten in the society differently.

 He expressed happiness that the Nonso Nwaebili Foundation is affiliating to Her Excellency's pet-project, CAFE.

 The event which attracted the people of Ogbaru Local Government Area was graced by the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe and a representative of the wife of the governor, Her Excellency, Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, among others. Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe in his speech eulogized Barr. Nonso Nwaebili for his thoughtfulness in remembering to give back to society and said that such is the basking of God's rich blessings and reward.

He implored all to be sacrificial in giving to the people as himself is a living testimony to what God can do when you give sacrificially.

 The high point of the event was the cutting of the tape for the commissioning of the handwashing facilities built by Hon. Barr. Nwaebili, in memory of his late father, Mr Azubuike Nwaebili.
