10 Celebrities Who Have Voiced Their Opinion On The Slave Trade Going On In Libya

Following a report done by CNN which uncovered a market in Libya where Nigerians and other Africans are auctioned off as slaves; kept in dehumanizing conditions, sexually abused, and even killed for their organs, Chris Brown and other celebrities have lent their voices. 


Libya has recently been criticized following claims of slave trade and human trafficking of immigrants going on in the country.

 Here are Celebrities who have voiced their opinion against the act in Libya

1. 2Face Idibia

 Music legend, 2Fface Idibia has lamented the slave trade currently going on in Libya. The music icon, on Tuesday, called on African leaders to take immediate action against those suffering in Libya.

Actress, Georgina Onuoha, who was bittered about the occurrence in Libya, cried on Facebook as she expressed her disappointment in fellow Nollywood colleagues who have not used their platforms to condemn the terrible act since it concerns Nigerians.


Chris Brown also took to Instagram to lend his voice against the despicable act going on in Libya

Cardi B in an over 2-minute video outburst on the situation in Libya, called out the United Nations for turning a blind eye to the dehumanizing slave trade in the North African country.

This is so SAD 😞 how did we get here? We need to erase the notion that the grass is greener on the other side, I spent some time three weeks ago trying to convince a young man to stay back in Nigeria, he was about to get involved in “Visa” runs, (pay someone money for travel document) to leave this country cos according to him, everything spoil for here and “life is better over there so let me just leave this country”. We need to do more, share more, talk more on the issue of leaving to find what isn’t there. Life is equally as tough on the other side if not tougher, that is the reality, people are running away from home daily and some of them we haven’t heard from are being sold.
