Hull Announce Double Signing

Hull City have announced they have signed Oumar Niasse from Everton on loan for the remainder of the season and Evandro from Porto on a permanent deal. 


New manager, Marco Silva, expressed the need to strengthen the squad after their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the first leg of their League Cup semi final with Hull currently bottom of the Premier League and three points of safety.

As a result the Tigers have managed to bolster their options before the weekend’s match against Bournemouth with the arrival of Niasse and Evandro.

The relegation strugglers are believed to have struck a deal with Everton that will allow them to sign Niasse on a permanent deal at the end of the season for a fee in the region of £10m, although that will depend on whether they can beat the drop.

Hull have also reached a deal with Porto to bring Evandro to the club on a two-and-a-half-year deal, which means Silva is reunited with a player he had great success with at Portuguese side Estoril.

The 30-year-old has only managed six minutes of action for Porto across league and European competition this season so it remains to be seen how match fit he is for a relegation battle, while Niasse hasn’t featured for the Everton first-team all season.
