Arsene Wenger Denies Arsenal Will Sell Contract Rebels
The Arsenal boss questioned why Sanchez would leave England for China. Wenger made the disclosure at his pre-Stoke press conference on Saturday.
He was asked about both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Both Ozil and Sanchez have just 18 months of their Arsenal contracts left and not a day goes by without some sort of outlandish updates on their future. Today, Alexis Sanchez was linked with a move to Chelsea.
And, via other sources we are told that Ozil will be sold so that Arsenal can afford for the Chilean to stay.
In terms of teams news, Arsenal are now in fine fettle with only Santi Cazorla out long term. Hector Bellerin will have a fitness test ahead of the Stoke match.
On Saturday, Arsenal take on Stoke at 3pm and can go top of the Premier League if they win by two clear goals.
As it stands, Chelsea, who play West Brom on Sunday, lead the Gunners in the Premier League table by three points and a +2 goal difference.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are a point behind Arsenal and host West Ham at Anfield on Sunday.
