Mavin Records Beats Sony Music, Universal Music To Hit 1 Million Instagram Followers

Nigerian label, Mavin Records, led by Don Jazzy, has made history by becoming the first record label in Africa to accumulate one million followers on Instagram.


Mavin Records also beats the world’s biggest labels like Universal Music Group (8,728), Sony Music Entertainment (48,000), Warner Music Group (5,478), Def Jam Records (338,000), Atlantic Records (174,000), Maybach Music Group (155,000), Cash Money Records (37,900), Ovo Sound (205,000) to hit the one million mark on the online mobile photo-video sharing platform.

Don Jazzy shared the news on his Instagram page on Thursday.

Founded in 2012, Mavin Records is home to recording artists such as Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Iyanya, D’Prince, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello.

The label also houses a roster of producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims and Baby Fresh.
