Ciara Is The New Face Of Revlon
“My mom was trying to figure out my name when my dad bought her a fragrance called Ciara by Revlon. That’s where my name came from! Ever since I understood that, my mind has been on it,” she told People.
Ciara was also eager to work with the brand because of its focus on female empowerment.
“It’s an exciting thing because, you know, it’s bigger than the makeup. They take it a step further by using the platform to help make a difference,’ she said.
And now, the 30-year-old singer and actress is set to star in Revlon’s campaigns (the first of which is launching on October 22), including its Choose Love initiative.
‘I’m so, so excited to share that my lifelong dream has come true!’ she sang in an announcement video on Revlon’s Instagram page.
Dressed in a robe, with a towel on her head, Ciara couldn’t hide her excitement as she revealed her latest notch to an ever growing resume.
Her husband, Russell Wilson, whom she married back in July, also showed his support, captioning a photo with ‘Congrats my sweet love. @Revlon could not have picked a more stunning & gorgeous Global Brand Ambassador than you. You deserve the world & you will always have mine. I love you.’
Ciara joins the likes of Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde, Halle Berry, and Lauren Hutton, to name just a few.
