Chelsea Star, Willian Speaks Out On Jose Mourinho's Touchline Row With Antonio Conte

Willian leapt to the defence of Antonio Conte after Chelsea's thrashing of Manchester United. 


 Jose Mourinho suffered the heaviest defeat of his career in England on Sunday as the Blues ran out 4-0 winners over United at Stamford Bridge.

And the Special One was left fuming by Conte, who tried to whip the crowd into a frenzy after N'Golo Kante had bagged Chelsea's fourth.

The pair exchanged words at the final whistle, with Mourinho accusing the Italian of deliberately trying to humiliate him in front of his former fans.

Willian was used as a second-half substitute at Stamford Bridgetion

 But Willian believes his new manager was fully entitled to behave as he did, telling ESPN Brasil: "It’s part of football. I think its within Conte’s rights.

 “But I think these are football things."

Mourinho paid Russian side, Anzhi Makhachkala, £32m to bring Willian to west London in 2013 and the 28-year-old has not forgotten the good times the pair shared together.

He added: "Of course Mourinho was a great manager here, I had the opportunity to work with him, so, unfortunately, it’s football. We have to do our duty, which is to win.”
