Chelsea Boss, Antonio Conte Hails Liverpool And Jürgen Klopp

Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, has paid tribute to Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp ahead of tomorrow night's meeting at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds travel to west London on Friday looking to pick up where they left off against Leicester City last weekend, when a free-flowing, dominant performance saw the champions beaten 4-1 at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have begun the season strongly, having taken 10 points from their opening four Premier League games under Conte’s stewardship.

Klopp spoke of his respect for Conte and his team during his pre-match press conference at Melwood on Wednesday and the former Juventus and Italy coach made it clear the feeling is mutual in his own media briefing on Thursday.

“[I expect] a strong match, very tough against a strong team.

“I think Liverpool are a really good team. They play with high intensity, they bring many players in offensive situations, they are very good.

“We must play with great expectations tomorrow because we know they are very strong,” Conte said.

On his opposite number,  Klopp, the Italian added: “Jürgen Klopp is a good manager, one of the best in the world.

''He’s showing his capacity to be a great manager.

“I know him but not much. We played against each other only once, in pre-season, but he’s a fantastic manager and I’ll be glad to see him tomorrow.”

Conte also confirmed that David Luiz will make his second Chelsea debut on Friday following his return from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day, as captain John Terry is ruled out with an ankle injury.
