Back in 2014, EW had a first look at the big-screen version of Max Steel, inspired by the Marvel action figure of the same name.

Now, after an international trailer arrived on the scene last week, the official U.S. trailer is showing even more of the action-packed film. Ben Winchell (Finding Carter) stars as 16-year-old Max McGrath, whose small-town high school experience is turned upside down when he discovers that his body inexplicably produces bouts of energy he can’t control.

Teaming up with a chatty, extraterrestrial sidekick named Steel, they become the super-suited hero of the film’s title.

Silicon Valley actor, Josh Brenner provides the voice of Steel, and the cast also includes Andy Garcia, Maria Bello, and Ana Villafane.

Directed by Stewart Hendler from a script by Christopher Yost, Max Steel opens in theaters on October 14, 2016.
