Ibrahimovic Clears Air On Who He Prefers Between Mourinho, Van Gaal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's potential move to Manchester United is a non-starter if Louis van Gaal remains in charge at Old Trafford, but if Jose Mourinho takes over that's a different story.

The mercurial Swede will leave Paris' St Germain in the summer and the striker is being heavily linked with a move to the Reds.

But his working relationship with the current United boss, Van Gaal couldn't be more contrasting than that with the Dutchman's possible Reds successor, Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic fell out with Van Gaal at Ajax when the United Manager was the Technical Director and he accused LVG of "sticking his oar in" during a meeting with coach Ronald Koeman.

The flamboyant goalscorer said, "Van Gaal was a pompous ass. He wanted to be a dictator, without a hint of a gleam in his eye. I was glad when I could avoid him."

On the other hand, Ibrahimovic spent just one season with Mourinho at Inter Milan, he was Serie A top scorer, won the title and could not be more praiseworthy of the Portuguese, who is favourite to land the United job in the summer.

"We worked together for one year at Inter. The feeling was great between us and my only regret is that we were together for only one year," Zlatan said.
