NIMET Gives Reasons For Hot Weather Condition

 The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), has explained reasons behind the hot weather condition in the country. 


According to the Agency, the heat wave would be accompanied by a shortfall in rainfall.

 Addressing reporters in Abuja on Monday, the Director General of the Agency, Dr Anthony Anuforom, attributed the situation to El Nino, a recurrent climatic phenomenon which caused abnormal warmth of the Pacific Ocean.

 Dr Anuforom asked relevant authorities to take action to avoid cases of drought and poor agricultural production.
