PDP Calls Caucus Meeting Over Tribunal Cases

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has summoned a national caucus meeting of its members to discuss the governorship tribunal cases in several states across the country.

The emergency meeting is slated for Thursday in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The party said that it will be discussing ways to fight moves to use unpatriotic elements in the judiciary to take over some of its strong holds in the states won by the PDP.

The party is however, concerned about Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Taraba and Abia States.

The PDP insisted that the emergency national caucus meeting is part of the party's leadership's plans to activate its structures to resist any form of manipulations, coercions and threats which the PDP alleges it perceived might be coming from the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government.

The PDP insisted it will not surrender any mandate freely given it to by the people at any level across the country, no matter the pressure.
