Foiled Robbery In PH: Police Recovers 120 Million Naira
A
robbery attack on a new generation bank located at Trans Amadi in
Port Harcourt, Rivers State's capital was foiled on Wednesday by the
state's police command.
According
to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Mohammed, the command
responded to a distress call that led to trail of the fleeing
robbers.
Mr
Mohammed told Channels Television that the gang of eight, who were
fled in two utility vehicles, engaged his men in a gun battle but the robbers were
over powered.
The
Police Public Relations Officer said that “the main vehicle used
for the operation was recovered and found to be carrying the stolen
bags of money, which after counting was in the range of 130 million
Naira".
