Maj. Gen. Abubakar Appointed Lafiya Dole Commander

To meet up with the established time line of bringing to a successful conclusion of the fight against terrorism and insurgency, the Nigerian Army has appointed Major General Yusha’u Mahmood Abubakar as Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole.

His appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman.

The unified command would coordinate 3 and 7 Divisions of the Nigerian Army as well as other elements of Operation Lafiya Dole.

Until this appointment, Maj Gen Abubakar was the Commander of the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps.


The appointment is with immediate effect.
