Dammy Krane Talks About Dropping Big Mix Tape
A popular
Nigerian artiste, Dammy Krane, made statements that centred on his relationship
with God, with him saying “once there is God in my life, I am covered”
On ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ on
Sunday, he told Ebuka that he will be dropping a Big Dammy Krane mix tape in
August.
Making reference to
how he is doing under Hypertek Records, he said working with 2face had been
interesting and rewarding.
“I am Hypertek and I
am happy. Working with 2Face has been very good. He has motivated me to move
on. He is a Jolly Good Fellow,” Krane said.
On his kind of music,
he graded it as a ’21st century Fuji’.
“It is a concoction of
Fuji and other kinds of music genres. I think it is high time other artists
from other countries begin to copy us. If we can own our music here, people can
copy us.”
On his relationship
with God, he said: “I don’t joke about my relationship with God.
“I started my music
from the Church. My grand-mother is someone that is very close to God and some
of the pictures i used in my music are pictures she keeps in her bible. I
believe that once there is God in my life I am covered. If you look at my body,
I don’t have tattoos and there is no piecing. My body is the temple of God and
I cannot tattoo it”.
