Hazard Prepares To Face Major League Soccer Opposition, Red Bulls

The Attacking Midfielder and Winger of Chelsea FC, Eden Hazard prepares to face Major League Soccer opposition as the 2015 pre-season match action begins against New York Red Bulls.

On 18 July 2012, six weeks after a summer move from Lille, Hazard walked out to face Seattle Sounders at a packed CenturyLink Field in the north-west of the USA.

It was a moment he recalled fondly, as he sat down with the official Chelsea website for the first time
this season.

Hazard said ‘I remember when I got on the field and I saw the stadium and it was completely full".

"Everybody was in green or blue. And I remember thinking at that moment: “Now I’m at a big club”.

"We won the game 4-2. I wasn’t nervous before, it was a friendly game like ones I had played for Lille. I scored one goal; I think I set one up too. It was a good day"

"In America they have big stadiums and the fans come to the games to see a spectacle. They want a show and that suits me! I have to do something for the fans", he added.

"It’s good to be back. I had a great holiday. I went away with my family, and now I’m ready to be on the pitch again and get back to work".

"I can’t say I really enjoy training right now because we do a lot of running and work hard, but it’s good to be there and work on your fitness a little bit more than during the season when you do a lot of recovery and technical work".
